I choose all of those acts to support Harry Hill.

Infact I put Simon Brodkin (Lee Nelson as the support act for Harry Hill at Monkey Business about a dozen times .

It led to Simon Brodkin being signed up by Avalon.

Lee Nelson now has his own BBC tv show

Sometimes I put an act on a Saturday that I have not even seen live before

based on their you tube clip impressing me

This has happend for these acts

Nick Helm,Chris Ramsey,Ladies Live Longer,Patrick Morris ,Ahir Shar, Harriet Kemsley,Bobby Maire, David Baker,Michael Goldstein,Dan & Dan,Peter White,Elliot Mason,Christian Talbot,Paul Sweeney,Sean Walsh,Sam Savage,Candy Gigi,Maggy Whitehouse,Stuart Mitchell and a few others

Sometimes I just confide in an agents view of an unknown act .

This happened with Sarah Millican

 and Russell Howard

who are now both big stars

I am always on the look out for special unknown acts that have amazing potential.

If it is thought that you are ready and have exceptional talent ,

you could  be invited to perform a spot on a Saturday night

along with well known established performers,

which could be the start of bigger things to come.

If you fancy a spot at Monkey Business then  please send me a little info about yourself

(photo if you have one) including  your contact number,

and please just use this email address martin_besserman@yahoo.co.uk

  GOOD ADVICE

If you get booked in for a spot but cannot make it for some reason,

please always email to say you cannot come otherwise you risk getting black listed .

It won't look good if you rush off after doing your set ,unless you have a very genuine reason for doing so.

Saying that you need to rush off to another gig will be frowned apon.

Try to have at least a fairly decent set ready.

If you are really poor I am afraid you won`t be invited back.

Asking friends along helps make the night a success

Allthough acts are not obligated to bring friends

We strongly believe that a team effort is required between the promoter promoting an event

though his mailing list and website,

but also acts encouraging friends along

is the best way to get a good atmosphere

with a decent sized crowd , making for a much more enjoyable gig.

All performers are polightly requested to do their very best in helping to promoting the night .

Many thanks.

PLEASE NOTE OUR MIDWEEK  START TIMES

Doors 7.00pm Show starts 8.00 pm

Please arrive by 7.15 pm

Your stage time is usually between 5 & 7 minutes

depending on how many other performers are on the bill.

Best Wishes Martin

Please note

that we reserve the right to be selective on acts that perform at Monkey Business

as at least a reasonable standard is set and expected .

It sets us aside from many other new act nights that allows really poor performers

to perform and allowed to return
