Omar Hamdi

Omar Hamdi
‘The Welsh-Egyptian headliner delivered non-stop laughs’ – Surrey Life Magazine
‘Slick, classy and very clever’ – Worthing Herald
‘Comedian Omar Hamdi co-hosted the event with Miriam Clegg (wife of Nick) – his skills were amazing, beyond our wildest expectations.’ – Ernst & Young
Currently appearing as tour support for Ava Vidal (star of Mock the Week and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow) on selected dates of her national 2012-2013 tour, Omar Hamdi is known across the country as one of the hardest-working and distinctive rising stars of UK comedy.
Omar is performing regular opening 20-minute sets and compering in clubs of all sizes, and regularly headlines smaller clubs. He has hosted corporate events for Ernst & Young, Oxfam and the British Heart Foundation, amongst others.
Currently preparing for his first full run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Omar is unique as a high-energy, affable Welsh-Egyptian comic. His intelligent yet accessible act delivers non-stop laughs from culture clashes, media and social commentary and personal political insights.
