Sunday  18 January 2009  I was invited to the premiere of Revolutionary Road in Leicester Square Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were there to promote the film.  Both of them gave powerful performances .

Saturday 14 February 2009  It was a happy full full house for our Valentine`s show with wonderful performance`s from

 Milton Jones Jaik Campbell.Wes Zuharukand Laura Luxx.

 

 

 phoned me today  to tell me the date their filming at the club will go on air - Tuesday 3rd  March 8pm. It will show me giving tips to Tom Bull, a 26 year old  lad who eats only chips and beans on how to perform a successful five minute set at Monkey Business .

 Jade Goody sadly lost her life at just 27 years old today .We worked next to each other in a previous life in East Street market South East London before Jade became famous ,and before I started Monkey Business.

Saturday  27 June   2009. A STAR IS BORN. She may be only 21 years old ,but this girl stormed it ,and mark my words she will become famous.Her name is

 Hannah George

and she is very funny.

did his new Edinburgh preview show which recieved a bit of heckling from an American girl who perhap had one drink too many.

Herrings put down`s led her to tears .I gave her a hug outside because she was emotional .The other act was Adams & Rea who had a great gig

  new Edinburgh preview show was amazing,and the packed house loved him.,Unfortunately ,a small group of idiots spoilt Phil Nichol`s earlier set by being noisy .Thank goodness it`s a rare occurrence at my club

It was a fantastic night with performances from

& I took a chance on an act called The Barbie stand up show not knowing

what to expect,em The photo above would suggest

that it was going to be a full on sexy show,

but it was just a big anti climax .

Not funny & certainly not sexy .

It was a Monkey Business special  tonight which turned into one huge superb show,

  with three of the worlds most controversial comedians covering the big subjects

of God Sex & religion .The headline act was the brilliant Swedish

was a real treat for all to enjoy.The Bafta & Globe winner was meant to be joined by Russell  Howard again ,who had to pull last minute due to extended TV filming.I brought in the superb Lee Nelson who everybody loved as Russell`s replacement.

This is Mandy Lee Watt who emailed me to say she thought The Stephen Merchant /Lee Nelson gig was excellent.

Saturday 31 October 2009   The Noise Next Door and

Patrick Monahan   were among tonights performers. The audience tonight included a delightful Austrian family from Salzsburg ,and from Sheffield a charming couple celebrating their 4th wedding anniversary.  Had my wallet lost or stolen tonight  with my money and cards, but my philosophy in life is to just accept these setbacks happen from time to time.

Saturday 5 December 2009 

Russell Howard

did a secret gig tonight, one day after his very impressive appearance on Friday night with Johnathan Ross.

He was brilliant and the audience loved him.

Unfortunately there was a heckler in the audience who made a childish politically correct remark which seemed to disconcert Russell to the point of spoiling the night for him, plus it was not helpful that there was a rowdy group of fireman at the back . A pity because he was trying out new material and was going down really well.

My lovely sister Maria who lives in Spain came to see this show

  Saturday 26 December 2009  It was a packed house with an electric atmosphere for our Boxing day special .Ten mainly new acts with a free veggie buffet. The acts that really stood out for me were
