Plum Pictures are currently making a new prime-time series for BBC 2 with James May. The premise behind the series is to examine the and explore the apparent demise of modern man, in particular the skills which men seemed to have forgotten after thousands of years of evolution. So far we have looked at things ranging from how to diffuse an unexploded bomb, to using nothing but celestial navigation to cross the English Channel . In line with skills once important to men, we have re-kindled the practice of duelling; where men settle scores not with litigation and lawyers, but with honour and bravery. We are looking to find two men who have an ongoing dispute (however trivial or ridiculous), whether it is a gripe about a mate who never buys a round, or an argument over a neighbours fence. We would love to give these feuding men the opportunity to learn how to fence, in order to settle their dispute once and for all with a sword fight, which we would cover in the programme.
